 General Demolition performed the largest demolition project in Cornwall – demolition of the 2 star, 54-bedroom Tremont Hotel in Newquay. The former hotel is to be replaced by a new, high quality development of 47 private apartments and 12 local needs homes. Construction commenced in Spring 2005 with completion scheduled for Summer 2006. The scope of General Demolition’s contract included demolition of the hotel building and associated facilities that included tennis courts and a swimming pool. General Demolition performed on-site crushing of demolition waste to produce recycled aggregates for use in construction of the new development. |
