 General Demolition completed demolition and site clearance works at the LINK25 site in Hertford Road, Enfield, Middlesex. The former ESAB Group (UK) factory and warehouse buildings were demolished to make way for a major new development with potential for up to 44,600 square metres (480,000 square feet) of bespoke distribution, warehousing and production facilities. The scope of General Demolition’s work included soft stripping of fixtures and fittings and Type 3 asbestos removal as well as demolition of the base concrete slab which was crushed and separated on-site to be re-used as foundations for the new development.The 8.3 hectare (20 acre) site lies adjacent to Junction 25 on the M25 motorway. LINK25 is a joint venture between Morley Fund Management and Gazeley Properties.
