 General Demolition is demolishing Barnet College’s former centre at Russell Lane in North London to make way for Osidge Park, an exclusive gated development of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and 4 bedroom family homes by housebuilder, Barratt Homes. Over a 14-week period, around 20 buildings of varying sizes will be demolished at the site including three main teaching blocks and adjoining walkways. General Demolition’s scope also includes on-site crushing of demolition waste to produce recycled aggregates for use in construction of the prestigious, 160-home development. During the early stages of demolition, General Demolition managed the removal of asbestos from certain buildings over a three-week period.
